Indra’s Web

Earlier this year my friend Lee messaged me and said he had a blank slate platform/app and wondered if I would like to do something with it or had any ideas. Since we discussed metaphysics and the nature of reality along with other weird phenomena regularly I thought that would be a good place to start. We went back and forth for weeks on topics, names, logos, etc… I had a brainstorming session with a low dose of psilocybin one night and had close eyed visuals that reminded me of the Vedic metaphor of “Indra’s Net”. Indra is an ancient Vedic and buddhist deity. The metaphor of Indra’s net was found first in the Atharva Veda and dates back to around 1,000 bc. The idea of the pearls or jewels being like minds and connecting and reflecting off of each other seemed perfect. Also Alan Watts once compared Indra’s Net to a giant cosmic spider web with beads of water reflecting on one another. Let’s be real though this is the internet and Indra’s Net was a very taken domain lol. It actually worked out perfectly substituting web for net. Now the most important part of this process was our goal or mission. Our goal is to spread and help cultivate real credible hypotheses and theories on topics surrounding metaphysics and weird phenomena using logic and reason. I believe the topics we included have been associated with visionary thinking, innovation, and the elevation of consciousness. I am interested in separating the actual possibilities and potential from complete speculative nonsense. That has been my focus as the host of Mind Escape Podcast as well. We had everything in place ready to go when Covid got worse and the election news coverage dominated all media. It did not seem like the right time. Around the holidays I had an epiphany and I decided there is no right or perfect time so let’s get this show on the road and start bringing people together through thought and innovation. We have met so many amazing people, friends, fans/listeners, podcasters, authors, and researchers along the way and would appreciate it if you spread the word about Indra’s Web. We only ask that you please leave all the conspiracy and political nonsense off of this platform. Let’s start philosophizing, experimenting, researching, learning, exploring, hypothesizing, theorizing, and loving. Humanity is due for another paradigm shift and scientific revolution, so I hope this inspires you all.
